another gem to be stumbled upon in the vast world of Queens culinary diamonds in the rough. Everything about this place is to be loved.

Though I'm Latina myself, I hadn't gone to a Peruvian spot exclusively so this was a good first time! When Diana seated us she poured us a complimentary glass of wine and overall was so sweet the whole time! Food itself was quite good. There is a dish they are know for here that my boyfriend ended up having that hit the SPOT and I low key wish I ordered his meal instead (though mine was good too, just wasn't a fan of the French fries). I ordered the Milanesa de Pollo and he ordered the Lomo Saltado. Overall awesome meal, awesome time! Tips -They have happy hour every day! -Ask if your meal includes beans (mine did not so I had a side order last minute) -Can eat inside or outside, but I personally liked the outside vibe better!

Authentic Peruvian food ! Visited this place for lunch with my husband last min . It was a great choice . Estephania was our waitress and she was awesome. She was attentive personable and a pleasure. She even gave us pallet cleansers . ,it was great! The lunch special was enough for us to share and the chicken was cooked to perfection. The sauces are amazing!!! Thanks again Estephania !

Yum! Came here with a group of friends and had a nice time. We sat down and got some complimentary sangria which was nice. Service was friendly and between the Spanish our group knew and the English the team at Riko knew, we were able to get everything ordered and squared away with no issues. We got there around 7 and it wasn't too crowded but the music was super loud. They were fine with turning it down a little so we could have a conversation. By the time we left a little before 9, it was getting more crowded. It took about 40 minutes for our food to come but once it came out everyone dug in. I had the lomo saltado which was great. The beef was nice and I loved the tomatoes and onions. The rice was also delicious. I honestly could have made two meals of this. I got a side of tostones because I love them but rarely have them so they were a terrific treat. Next time I want to try some roast chicken. All the food coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. Oh, and for all of us, the total including tip was $33 per person. I thought that was a great bargain for such tasty food and generous portions.

As one of the longest standing Peruvian joints in the hood, Riko has done a pretty good job in staying relevant as they've gone from small'ish eatery to divide + conquer mode with multiple locations. This one enjoys the luxury of being located on one of the busiest corners on Greenpoint and has a steady flow of locals rocking their food with their indoor + outdoor dining. They've done a decent job at making the place seem bigger than it is by expanding their outdoor seating, even before the pandemic came around. They were perpetually busy almost every night and especially during the weekend and with good reason: the food is tasty. I think it all begins with a classic pollos a la brasa (aka rotisserie chicken). Their version is juicy with just enough flavor emanating from the skin, with the perfect aji green sauce to complement it. The latter can be purchased separately well as well; which I've done for like $5 for a nice cup. I also feel pretty strongly about their jalea, which is as hearty as as it is crispy. I can't say I love their sangria and/or ceviche, yet I can't help but order it almost all the time. Their prices have slowly crept up over the years and while that pains my wallet, I'm pleased to know the quality remains high. I've not encountered any major snafus with their wait staff and I am happy for their continued success. I am already salivating thinking of my next chicken + lomo saltado run.
